Deciding to paint your toenails when you are nine and a half months pregnant.
Seriously, I don't know what possessed me. I never paint my nails. And I haven't even seen my toes in three months. I can't see them now.
Which may be a very good thing.

Dear Lissa,
I have learned that lesson the hard way, too..
Just think you are very close to being able to see your feet again! Praying for you for a wonderful delivery!
Blessings,

LOL I've done stuff like that, too. I sure hope that baby comes soon -- with an easy labor!

I did the same thing with all three of my pregnancies. Well, once I had my dh do it, I think he got tired of seeing me trying to reach my toes! LOL
Praying for you!

I didn't realize you were expecting. Congratulations!

I always paint my toenails near the end of a pregnancy (somehow I manage it). I have no idea what drives me to do it, but I like to have pretty feet for labor and delivery. Enjoy those girlie toes and post your good news soon!

Too funny. I never paint my toenails, but a couple of summers ago, at the urging of my daughters, I did. Then, one morning at a Bible study a friend (decidedly NOT a toenail painter) said, "What is it with everyone's toenails lately? Does EVERYONE paint ..." and she stopped short as her eyes came to rest on my feet. I burst out laughing, as it was the first time in 20 years that I'd painted them ....

This is too funny. You must be getting very ready to deliver. I always seem to get very concerned with shaving my legs and the state of my feet a few days before the big event.
I think you should treat yourself to a pedicure.
I am praying for a happy, safe delivery for you and the wee lass.

My mother would hate for me to share this, but here goes (she doesn't read blogs): when she was overdue with my sister (about 38 years ago), during the middle of a very hot summer, she decided to go out and work in the vegetable garden. In bare feet. Suddenly she realized that the baby was coming, and they rushed to the hospital. Of course she didn't have a chance to wash her feet...I don't think she's ever gotten over the embarrassment.

I can so relate, Lissa. I actually did get a pedicure about two weeks ago thinking I'd be having this baby shorty after. I like to have my feet and legs looking good, too. Why is that, I wonder! Now I think I need to try to give myself a touch-up - oh boy - no baby yet!

But it was so cute! It was like watching the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man doing yoga.
A really, really gorgeous Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, of course.
