Here is another great example of what I love about your blog posts. You are always positive, always reaching out to others, and that spirit is wonderfully contagious! I honestly believe that if more of us homeschooling moms could simply share all of the really cool things that we *enjoy* about home education, more families might have the courage to pursue it. Walking away from institutional-style education takes courage. It's a leap of faith that most parents are afraid to take. If only they knew the rich and wonderful family life that awaits them! I think readers get a sweet peek into such a life every time they read one of posts.

Even if home education is not an option for many folks for many good reasons, you're spot-on about sharing the wonderful books, ideas, and resources that make learning a joy for so many.

Do you take specific book recommendation requests? If so, sign me up! I'd like to read a bit about the American Revolution with my 6 & 8 year olds prior to a trip to Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown this summer. I'd especially love to share a couple great historical-fiction read alouds with them to bring this area/time period alive. I'd like to avoid books that have a young adult romance in the story line. Anything come to mind?
