i don't know what it says about me that I got *so* excited about this.

I was thinking about you this morning as I recalled a post on a yeast experiment we did this summer. The experiemnt is here: http://www.botham.co.uk/seed/activ.htm

We are on day 3. This is my daughter's first time helping and she was jumping up and down in the kitchen over all the bubbles that formed over night. I thought your girls must have been doing the same. It's so much fun to share this with our daughters!

It really is! We are having the best time. I can't stop opening the crock to peek at the bubbles. It totally grosses my hubby out, though, that we've got this little yeast farm on our counter. LOL!

About This Blog

  • I'm Melissa Wiley, a children's book author and home- educating mother of five. My kids and I are beginning breadbakers. We wanted an informal place to collect notes, recipes, and advice, a place to chronicle our successes and failures. That's what this space is for, and if you've ventured in for a peek, I most eagerly encourage you to jump into the discussion. We are novices, and we're hoping to learn a great deal from wiser and more experienced bakers. We have a zillion questions. This blog is our attempt to collect all the answers in one place.
