The first (long) leg of our journey is over. We made it to my parents' house in Colorado, and the first thing I saw when I walked into my mother's kitchen was my favorite cake waiting for me on the counter. Which is why I can't write more right now. Don't want to get crumbs in my father's keyboard, you know.

SO Very Happy For You! Having spent many an hour and many a mile with my own brood, traversing the highways and biways of the Eastern Seaboard, I was feeling sympathy pains of ramminess. (Does "sympathy pains of ramminess" even make sense?)

That's the second John Denver song I will be singing all night thanks to you. Sincere thanks to you. The man was a genius. Enjoy being a daughter again.

We were just listening to JD in the car tonight after driving an hour and a half home from my inlaws. Love his stuff. Enjoy that cake!
