what wonderful tribute the the Ronald Mcdonald house organization! I only knew in a vague way what they were there for, thank you for a much more intimate and personal look at what they offer. Your family has been through alot, I had no idea.

Thank you so much for writing this post. In our family, we are veterans of the Ronald McDonald House as well, and I don't know how we would have gotten through 3 open heart surgeries in another state without it. It allowed us to remain a family while meeting the needs of two very young children.

I think a lot of people assume that because the houses bear the McDonald name, they must be getting a lot of money from the corporation, but to my knowledge, each house raises its own funds locally. A really worthy cause!

I too am eternally grateful for the Ronald McDonald House without which I probably wouldn't have maintained my sanity during my daughter's time in hospital. I'm so pleased to see someone write about them.
